Charlton & Cogload Jn

Charlton & Cogload Jn are located alongside the Taunton and Bridgwater Canal between the villages of Creech St Michael and Durston. Charlton gives access to the railway via a farm track, and is popular with walkers and dog owners with many options for exercise. In recent years Charlton has rather lost it's appeal. Rapmant vegitation growth has seen tree lined avenues form, which severly restrict photography of passing trains. The down shot has also been changed with addition of a compound and electrical cabinate. Cogload Jn can be accessed via the canal towpath, there are many good vantage points which can be gained once the junction is in view.
