Silk Mills

Silk Mills is located at the South (or West) end of Fairwater Yard. Silk Mills now has a large elevated red steel road bridge with pavements which give good views of the mainline in both directions. Fairwater Yard can also be viewed from here. Parking can be found on the main access road to Fairwater Yard below the bridge. The A3065 is very busy with traffic so may not be suited to those with video, and the bridge had a tendancy to bounce when used by heavy good vehicles. Best times of day to visit are late morning through to early evening (Southbound Shots) and morning (Northbound shots).
